We have worked with a great selection of venues and couples! Our two favourites (shhh!) from 2021 have been Sian & Alex and Katrina & Mark’s weddings.
Sian & Alex got married in The White Hart, Ampthill, Nottinghamshire. A beautiful 16th century Grade II listed hotel/pub. We travelled down in our van (Penny) and were greeted with laughter and love. Beautiful rooms, full of character made for a great setting for two families getting ready in two completely different styles – one full of glamour, prosecco and good tunes and the second – with a room tightly packed with lads figuring out how to tie a tie and how the buttonholes get attached.
We must admit though, once they got to the altar (almost 30 minutes late!) We have never seen a couple that was more visibly in love. With their little daughter, Ava, closely watching on, we only imagine what a beautiful house they make. The day went from rainy to giving us a beautiful rainbow and sunshine when we stole them away for some photos. Truly, a day to remember.
Katrina & Mark got married at a church in Berkswell, Birmingham with a reception at the Lake at Barston Restaurant. Both Katrina and Mark got ready at their parents’ homes, very simple and intimate settings. It was so lovely to get such a beautiful insight into someone’s life so up-close. From the moment Katrina started getting ready, you could see her mum doing little bits around the house and her dad taking bits back and forth to the church, occasionally checking in on her. Both of them were absolutely beaming with pride, ready to welcome Mark to the family officially. At Mark’s house, it was a similar story, more hands on with mum googling how to fold pocket squares and Mark himself having to watch videos of how to do his tie. After the beautiful ceremony, we went to a PARTY at the reception, because after all the food, speeches and the formalities those guys and all of their guests went wild! It was maybe down to the DJ, maybe down to the fact that their wedding has been postponed due to Covid before or maybe simply because they were just two party souls. Regardless, it was a great night for all involved!
