Emily & Sam -Wrenbury Hall, Cheshire
We love everything about Wrenbury Hall, especially the staff! They always make us feel exceptionally welcome, and they can never do enough for us on a wedding day. Emily and Sam actually got married on the first day that weddings could go ahead post-lockdown, resulting in a small church ceremony with only 11 of their close family present, due to the restrictions at the time.
One-and-a-bit years later, they rebooked Wrenbury Hall for their wedding anniversary celebration, this time with over 100 of their family and friends packing out the beautiful venue for their long awaited Reception.
Unfortunately, although it was mid-August, the rain came barreling down for most of the day – but there is always a silver lining, and this one came in the form of a confetti tunnel sheltered by rows of brightly coloured umbrellas! Eventually, as the rain finally dried up, we all headed outside into the darkness for a stunning sparkler photo, one of our favourites ever!
Fiona & David – Owen House Barn, Cheshire
Originally, Fiona and David were not planning on having a photographer at their December wedding at Owen House Barn near Knutsford, as it was ‘second time round’ for them both. However, as guests at Emily & Sam’s wedding they fell in love with how we captured the atmosphere in such a natural and unobtrusive manner and decided to book us for their wedding after all. We are so glad they changed their minds, as this was by far one of our best weddings of 2021 – 3 live bands (including one with the groom), rooms full of beautiful colours and tables laden with tasteful decor led to a truly stunning day. With so much energy and excitement in the room, we ended up capturing one of the BEST first dances we have ever seen!
James & Victoria – The Ashes Barn, Staffordshire
James and Victoria chose to get married at one of our favourite venues, The Ashes Barn, located in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. We have worked at Ashes many times before but we never get tired of returning, as it offers such a stunning backdrop for a wedding. With lovely old sandstone buildings surrounded by stunning gardens and lakes, the venue is just perfect for both couple photos and video footage, and the Ceremony and Reception Barns are always so beautifully dressed for the occasion. It also offers a Bridal Preparation area that is stylishly equipped with a separate salon, a relaxation room and a dressing room, and a Grooms Cottage that, although smaller, has amazing views across the lake and is filled with beautiful natural light.
The best thing about creating a beautiful wedding film at Ashes Barn is that it looks stunning in every season, and we always find something different to video. James and Victoria were so easy to work with thanks to their natural chemistry, easily walking, talking and laughing together without noticing us around. We can’t wait to go back to Ashes Barn again!
