At The Red Rose Cake Co, we create bespoke wedding cakes that balance artistry, structure, and feeling. Each design is approached as a considered object — shaped by proportion, movement, and a quiet sense of luxury.
Our work is defined by restraint rather than excess, allowing craftsmanship and form to speak for themselves.
We believe a wedding cake should feel intentional — not decorative for decoration’s sake.
Drawing inspiration from modern sculpture, classical balance, and architectural form, our designs focus on clean lines, thoughtful composition, and subtle movement. Texture is used sparingly. Colour is refined. Every element has a purpose.
The result is a cake that feels timeless, sculptural, and deeply personal to its setting.
Every Red Rose cake is designed from the ground up.
We take time to understand the space, the atmosphere, and the people the cake is created for. From there, we design with proportion and presence in mind — ensuring each piece feels at home within its surroundings, whether that’s a contemporary venue, a historic setting, or a destination celebration.
This process allows us to create cakes that feel cohesive, elevated, and quietly confident.
Our work is best suited to couples who appreciate thoughtful design, subtle detail, and considered craftsmanship. If you’re drawn to elegance over excess, form over trend, and cakes that feel composed rather than embellished, you’ll likely feel at home here.
We understand this style isn’t for everyone — and that clarity is part of what allows the right collaborations to flourish.
To maintain the level of detail and attention each piece requires, we have chosen to limit the number of commissions we take. This ensures every cake receives the time, focus, and creative consideration it deserves.
Our role is both as a designer and maker — translating ideas, environments, and emotions into cake form.
If our approach resonates with you, we’d love to explore what we might create together.
Previous Weddings
We have travelled to some amazing wedding venues across North Wales, Cheshire, the Wirral and Shrewsbury. There is a huge array of spectacular places for weddings and it is difficult to choose my favourites.
I love every single wedding cake that I make and can remember each one. However there have been occasions when the cake has a resonance for me.
The first image is taken from a very different view point and I just loved that about it. I never see a cake from above and so it stays in my mind. You also get to see the brides dress in a way that is unusual.
The second was designed entirely by the couple and I just had to create that design. It was one of the most fun cakes every but contained lots of different techniques so was also quite challenging.
The third was a recent cake at a new venue. They just worked so well together and whilst a simple cake, the sugar flowers gave it such elegance, I fell in love with it.
