We are Matt and Lou Hardy – husband and wife team who are dedicated to making your special event go with a bang.

We provide and end to end catering experience for customers across the North West and beyond, bringing fun and fine food to any event. Whether you want to create a festival vibe, relaxed laid back atmosphere or classic catering – we are here to help.

We opened our café restaurant in West Kirby, Wirral, in 2014. This was soon followed by the conversion of our VW Bay, into the Big Dub of Love. And so the outside catering dream was now underway…and we’ve not stopped since! We have grown consistently and now cater for weddings, corporate events, festivals and private parties with our fabulous team. Along with our giant tipis, The Big Tipi of Love, we are not offering a truly wrap around service for our clients.

Previous Weddings

We love to travel around the North West, catering at weddings in the Lake District, North Wales and Anglesey and of course Merseyside.

As we often hold weddings in our tipis, the locations can be spectacular! We love to hold our weddings at Wirral Country Park, Thurstaston, Wirral – where there’s big views over to North Wales; the beautiful Tros Yr Afon, Anglesey and Silverholme Manor on the banks of Lake Windermere.

We have had the pleasure of working at quirky venues such as Victoria Baths and Five Four Studios in Manchester – both of which are fabulous venues which offer something a little different!

A huge thank you to Hardy’s for everything they did for our wedding. From day 1 we felt incredibly comfortable with Lou and Matt. We loved that they tailored our menu to our tastes and really understood the direction we wanted. On the day itself, the food was delicious and impeccably delivered. Just want to say again a huge huge thank you for this time last week! Honestly everyone said the food was incredible and the best food they’ve had at an event (not just a wedding!). It was absolutely amazing I thoroughly enjoyed scoffing down our own plate of canapés - the tuna was my fave. The celariac for main was INSANE. Just everything was perfect.
