Each wedding is unique and everyone I care for is too.  

I am that unseen, behind the scenes support and care, a non-uniformed plus one if you like, to me, your loved one is my VIP, so you can enjoy your day and I can help make the day magical for them.

Using my nursing and healthcare experience, the joy of inclusion and sharing the day is key to these guests’ emotional wellbeing. It offers them a sense of being valued and important.  I am passionate about facilitating those special loved ones to be included and an integral part of the couples day but with the built in proviso that when they are ready they can leave as these events can be very tiring, stressful and sometimes scary, knowing they have someone they can feel comfortable and who has them at the heart of their care to feel confident and empowered without losing their dignity can offer a massive peace of mind to both the family and the person being supported.  

I carefully plan and manage the logistics of the day to provide seamless navigation of the many moving and sometimes complicated parts of an English Wedding.  I work hand in hand with the bride, the venue and planner or coordinator to ensure the day is as stressless as possible.  

I facilitate those with mobility, frailty, Alzheimer’s and other conditions to attend weddings that they would not usually be able to attend, supporting them with care, kindness and dignity and discretion. I don’t have a Wheelchair Adapted vehicle but I can help with wheelchair hire if needed.

We offer 3 basic packages but bespoke is welcomed too.  

The Bronze Package £450 – Ceremony and Reception respite - this begins with meeting at the church or venue, care and support transferring to the Wedding Breakfast, support and unique one to one attention and leaving with the family when they leave.

The Silver Package £650 – Comprehensive Full Day Chaperone Service.  This package begins at the home of the guest I am supporting; we get ready together, transfer to the church or venue.  The guests are supported at the ceremony and the transfer to venue if this is needed, we take our time and don’t rush.  I support and maintain dignity.  If the guest needs a quiet space away from the bustle and noise of the wedding guests, we can find a place of sanctuary to find time to reset.   When they are ready, we go home and settle down in familiar surroundings with a cup of tea to chat and then I will leave them comfortable.

The Gold Package £950 – Premium Home to home and Overnight Support.  This package includes all the silver one has plus I stay overnight with the guest to support with cares and comfort, offering them the peace of mind and security of not being alone and the family the well-deserved space and respite and a full night of rest.

Bespoke – this could be for multi day celebrations or destination weddings, unique logistical challenges or more complex needs.

Although based in East Yorkshire, I am happy to travel to support those special loved and family members to attend the wedding of their most precious relatives and friends.  

Depending on the time of ceremony and the timelines involved, I may need an overnight stay to keep safe in case of becoming tired.

Event Carer doesn’t charge mileage, we hope that the pricing is transparent. The balance is due 30 days before the event.  I have numerous catch ups and updates with the couple to ensure that I am totally up to speed with the needs and wishes of those I am caring for.
