Hi, I’m Matt…
I’m a wedding photographer based in Christleton, Chester. I cover all areas of the North West UK & beyond.
My mission is to repay my clients trust by producing images that are timeless and that evoke laughter and tears for all the right reasons, for now and for the generations to come. This comes from careful planning, proper listening and attention to detail.
Spotting and capturing those moments of pure magic! My style is very relaxed, always working with a smile.
I have been incredibly lucky to work at stunning venues all over the North West. I feel confident I can capture your day perfectly, even if the weather isn’t on our side. Its all about you as a couple and your guests.
We recently shot a wedding at the beautiful Old Palace Chester. Anna & Matt were so much fun and full of life, the venue was stunning and located perfectly next to the river in the City.
I absolutely love North Wales and the surrounding coastline, so when I was asked to capture Lauren & Matt’s wedding at The Quay Hotel & Spa in Deganwy, I jumped at the opportunity!
Right on the waters edge, the Quay Hotel & Spa is a wonderful venue. Again it is all about the couple, I was very lucky to have Lauren, Matt & their guests make the day a wonderful experience for all.
Karolina & James got married in Chester city centre with a reception at The Chester Grosvenor. A fantastic city centre venue allowing couples and guests easy access to all of this historic cities landmarks.
Myself, Karolina & James had so much fun walking around the city, we all wanted more, so booked a ‘post wedding shoot’ on the hills surrounding Llangollen a few weeks after their wedding.

My main catchment area is Chester, the North West and beyond.
I offer everyone who inquires with me, a zoom meeting before any deposit is taken, wedding photography is a very personal service, I believe couples should meet their photographer before booking with them.
I also offer a complimentary ‘pre wedding shoot’ to couples purchasing my full day wedding package. This helps to put people at ease about their wedding day photography, now understanding it won’t be awkward and uncomfortable, it’ll be a fun and pleasurable experience. Plus, we’ll get some nice images to begin the wedding story.
I like to take a 20% deposit upon booking to secure the date in my diary, then the final balance 30 days before the big day.

You know that old saying “new year, new me”? Well, ahead of the fast approaching 2025, we’ve decided to switch some things up around here and add a dash more sparkle into Bouquet and Bells.
This shoot was inspired wholly by the vastness and beauty of the venue as well as the unitarians inspiring ethos: Ullet Road Unitarian Church. We chose a beautiful day for the shoot, meaning the light flooding into the building and outside of the building was beautiful. We had a selection of dresses to change into for different parts of the church, and we utilised the late in different rooms and at different windows, as well as the doors for the iconic confetti shots.
Your wedding is a magical day which will stay with you forever. However, it’s unquestionable that with a tag like that, there’s also going to be an element of pressure you need to manage. 84% of brides report feeling some sort of stress about their big day. And while a lot of this comes hand-in-hand with planning a large event, it’s unquestionable that standing in front of anyone as the “star of the show” is going to get the nerves jangling.
