I am Louise and I am here to help you create a joyful and attentive celebration that is completely unique to you! I conduct civil ceremonies and life celebrations Nationwide.
Whether that’s a wedding celebration, a vow renewal, a baby naming ceremony or a celebration of life.
The role of a celebrant is to ‘mark’ and augment the occasion in any way that the family or couple being united wish. I am not restricted by the legal obligations, venue, content and format of a registrar or indeed any religious ceremony procedures. The celebration can be completely personalised to meet the ideals and style of the couple or family.
I am here to create a ceremony that is bespoke to you in every way. The celebration will be at the heart of your day and will set proceedings off in the tone that you want it to. I am trained to prepare a couple for their union and to create a ceremony that is memorable and delivers all that is special and wonderful about their future together. I work closely with families to ensure that the celebration encompasses everything that is important to them.
I trained at University College, Wales in Theatre Studies and English, before continuing to train as a drama teacher. I have continued to teach drama for 25 years. After a long and successful career as a drama teacher in secondary education, I decided to retrain as a civil celebrant and use my skills in presentation and public speaking on another path.
Over the years I have been invited to speak at numerous public events, including weddings, funerals and large-scale functions. I enjoy this enormously, so thought it was time to rethink my journey.
I am passionate and humorous by nature and take enormous pride in the work that I do. I work hard to understand and grant the wishes of my clients so that their day can be as special, individual and as happy as it deserves to be.
1. I was incredibly lucky to be invited to ‘augment’ the union of two close friends at a beautiful venue in Cheshire. It had a ‘rowing’ theme, as we all row for Grosvenor Rowing Club. It was a fabulous celebration, filled with humour and laughter, it meant so much to me to be such an important part of their special day. I will always cherish this.
2. I was extremely honoured to be asked to perform the celebration for my best friend and her husband to be at a sensational setting in North Wales. The day was magnificent in every way. I was also given the role as Maid of Honour, so gave another emotional, heartfelt and this time humorous speech about our friendship. The venue was incredible and really captured all that the beautiful couple wanted for their memorable day.
Take a look at some reviews from our previous clients.
I am based in Chester but will travel nationwide and beyond.
I offer face to face consultations with the happy couple.
A deposit will be taken at the point of booking to secure it.

This shoot was inspired wholly by the vastness and beauty of the venue as well as the unitarians inspiring ethos: Ullet Road Unitarian Church. We chose a beautiful day for the shoot, meaning the light flooding into the building and outside of the building was beautiful. We had a selection of dresses to change into for different parts of the church, and we utilised the late in different rooms and at different windows, as well as the doors for the iconic confetti shots.
Your wedding is a magical day which will stay with you forever. However, it’s unquestionable that with a tag like that, there’s also going to be an element of pressure you need to manage. 84% of brides report feeling some sort of stress about their big day. And while a lot of this comes hand-in-hand with planning a large event, it’s unquestionable that standing in front of anyone as the “star of the show” is going to get the nerves jangling.
