Cheshire Chocolate Studio is owned and run by mother of 2, chocolate and horse enthusiast, Amanda Keech.

Having run a Pony Party business for 9 years, in 2017 Amanda decided to look for a second business which was less seasonal than the pony party business. A friend of a friend put a post on facebook about her chocolate workshops, a trip to Hertfordshire for some training followed and  Amanda was quickly utilising her warm, relaxed and engaging style at her chocolate workshops. Why wouldn’t you want to work with chocolate!

Amanda and her small team aim to offer a professional service and strive to provide:

  • Excellent communication from start to finish.
  • A warm engaging chocolate host to lead your workshop.
  • Learn a variety of chocolate making and decorating techniques.

Amanda started offering children’s chocolate parties and educational chocolate workshops for primary schools before adding activities for brides to be.

Cheshire Chocolate Studio offers chocolate workshops for hen week end celebrations as well as for the Wedding Eve.

What’s a chocolate workshop? Chocolate making and tasting with delicious Belgian chocolate, with the emphasis on relaxed fun.

Cheshire Chocolate Studio can match your vibe so whether you’re a lively bunch or you need to keep things refined for your MIL to be or younger bridesmaids, they’ll be led by you!

A typical hen workshop will be 8-12 ladies (usually but not always), with a very loud 40 hens being the largest group to date.

Previous Weddings

You have the option to have your chocolate hen party in our airy marquee sited in our tranquil orchard, alternatively we’ve attended hen parties at hen’s homes, air bnbs and local hotels.

The mad hatters themed room at Oddfellows Hotel in Chester is a fabulous setting for a chocolate hen party – it’s a completely upside down room. We hosted a chocolate workshop there in January 2023 at very late notice for a bride who was home from New Zealand for Christmas (hence the January hen celebrations!).

For me though, the venue with real wow factor is The Old Palace Hotel Chester – I was invited to chat to the wedding planner there about hosting Wedding Eve chocolate workshops for the bridal party. The hotel has been restored to retain its heritage – absolutely stunning with a fabulous view over the River Dee.

Nicola was absolutely brilliant, from sampling and selecting flavours, through to design and ultimately enjoying it on the day. She designed exactly what we wanted and it was delicious. Due to Covid restrictions we had to downsize, and we arranged with Nicola for cake to be sent to guests who could no longer attend, she was very flexible. We couldn't have asked for more from her, and as a supplier she gave us total peace of mind that it was one thing we didn't need to worry about.

We take £100 deposit for hen parties at our marquee in Kelsall, £200 if we come to you.
