Hello, my name is Jolene and I offer a totally personalised wedding photography experience meaning that you get to be you and enjoy the day, while knowing that you’ll have a unique collection of images that will tell your story for years to come!

My style of photography has developed over 15 years of photographing weddings and while I’m constantly learning and developing new skills, I’ve learnt that to take truly engaging, beautiful and emotive wedding images, I work as a ‘guide’ for you and so there’s no need for awkward posing and you’ll be free to move, laugh, cry, dance and enjoy your wedding in your own way.

I truly love photography and how photographs can make people feel. I believe that all the details are important and I love to see raw, real emotions and not just the beautiful, curated details.

To me, this is the best job in the world and I love getting to know all my couples!

So if you want to let your own story unfold, while knowing you’ll have a collection of beautiful, high quality, timeless photographs that capture the essence of the day, get in touch for more details.

Previous Weddings

I’ve worked in so many amazing wedding venues and private marquee/festival style weddings across North Wales, Cheshire, Yorkshire and even Cyprus that it’s hard to pick just three to talk about but here are some of my most memorable moments.

Tower Hill Barns is a beautiful venue and so much fun to work at, its family run and the team there are amazing. I love anywhere with green outdoor space and the nice thing about Tower Hill is that you don’t have to walk far or disappear for hours to explore the grounds, it’s so well laid out and I love watching the party start on the patio as the sun goes down and the cocktails come out!

Soughton Hall is another one of my favourite venues and one of the funniest memories I have of here was of the Best Man Speech with 3 x Best Men, it was hilarious but I won’t go into the details here! The whole place is beautiful with the perfect mix of classic style and modern luxury, the staff are fab and it’s always a pleasure to work there.

Chateau Rhianfa and those views! This quirky hotel never fails to amaze me at any time of year, looking out over the Menai Straits and beyond, it really is breathtaking. I was lucky enough to be photographing a wedding at  St Tysilio’s Church with the reception at Chateau Rhianfa while the suspension bridge was closed to traffic. As we drove past, I asked if we were allowed on as pedestrians for pictures and we were, it was totally by chance and we got the most fun and uniquely different shots of the couple on this totally deserted, iconic bridge!

There are so many more venues that I love and if you ever want ideas for choosing your ideal venue, give me a shout and I’ll tell you more!

We chose Jolene as our photographer after she photographed my sister's wedding 8 years ago. Jolene is absolutely fantastic, consistently perfect, she listens to what you want, guides you and captures the moments you don't even realise are happening. After 3 weeks we had our images back from a Christmas wedding all finished to the highest quality and they were just amazing. We are reliving our wedding day all over again through these photos. The best photographer there is.

We couldn’t be happier we chose Jolene to capture our elopement on Rhosneigr beach this year! From the initial contact, to a phone call, to meeting for a cuppa, we could tell Jolene just got what we were after and was the person who could make it happen! She captured such wonderful shots of our day, which was so important to us as we had no guests to capture any moments for us. Jolene was wonderful with our little boy, bringing him a bucket and spade on the day which just shows how much she cares and is willing to go the extra mile. We didn’t want lots of posed shots, preferring a more candid capture of the day, but Jolene must have known we would love the ones we did pose for. They are absolutely wonderful and we are so lucky to have amazing memories of our perfect day. I couldn’t recommend Jolene more highly if you’re looking for someone who is relaxed, laid back, great with kids, up for lying in the sand to get great shots and generally just a lovely person to have at your wedding! Thanks so much Jolene!

We are so thankful that we chose Jolene to photograph our wedding. Right from the beginning she was on board with our ideas, happy to communicate whenever we needed to, and made us comfortable throughout the process. We had a pre-wedding shoot which was brilliant. On the day of the wedding, Jolene kept everything together and was brilliant with our guests. We never felt pressured or silly. She got amazing shots of our day. We got sneak peeks just after the day and then the full gallery in less than 8 weeks! Amazing! Even now, I’ve still been messaging for various things and Jolene has responded to all of my requests without hesitation! If you’re looking for your wedding photographer, you won’t regret choosing Jolene!

FAQs

I have been a full time, professional wedding photographer for 5 years now but I have over 15 years experience as a wedding photographer as it was sort of a ‘summer job’ to me while I was working in my original career as a teacher.

I cover all of North Wales and Cheshire and am willing to discuss national or international/destination wedding coverage depending on the details.

I try to cap my weddings to 30 per year as I believe in work life balance!

I love to meet all my couples, either face to face or via video call if that’s easier before securing the date. Booking your wedding photographer is a big decision and out of all the suppliers you choose for the wedding, your photographer is going to be with you the most on the day so it can’t be rushed into! I offer unlimited consultations and a Getting to Know you shoot once the booking fee of £250 is paid, there is a link to book a consultation on my website and I love hearing everyone’s different ideas and plans.
