My little Wedding Shop is an independent boutique established in 2011 in the beautiful market town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Located on a pretty terrace, just off the famous Castle Walk with it’s stunning views of the Bridgnorth valley, the boutique is an intimate space where you can relax and start to explore the unique in-house bridal wear collections and meet bridal wear designer, Jennifer Bone.
Jennifer loves every moment of her job, every gown is created for her brides from scratch and her enthusiasm and love of her work is infectious!
“As a dress designer I get to work with a lot of brides who may not think they fit into the traditional wedding dress style. My brides want to feel beautiful on their wedding day, but they also want to feel like themselves. This is one of the most important parts of my work as bridal wear designer and it is something that I love to do!”
Bridal Appointments:
Visiting My little Wedding Shop is by appointment as Jenny feels it is important that brides have her full attention during their visit.
The quirky boutique is the perfect space to take time to peruse the dress collections, feel the drape of the materials and the detail of the laces Jennifer has selected. Looking for your bridal gown should be a memorable experience that becomes part of the excitement of your wedding planning journey and nothing can compare to having the opportunity to try on different dress silhouettes to see how you feel in them and how they move when worn.
My little Wedding Shops’ wedding gowns are designed not only with elegance and comfort in mind but also sustainability. The gowns are created using recycled and sustainably sourced materials including bamboo, recycled tulle, satin and Mikado’s and even fabric created from orange peel! There is no mass production, with all gowns being made to order which also means, that all fittings and alterations are included when you order a dress.
The corsetry is specially cut to provide support and structure without feeling restricted, skirts are created to hold their shape whilst staying lightweight and the chosen laces are soft against the skin.
During your visit you will be able to pick out different dress styles to try to see which silhouette suits you best and makes you feel beautiful yet comfortable. You will also be able to see how the different colour shades best suit your skin tone and try on different bridal accessories to complete your look.
Bespoke Bridal Design:
Jennifers’ bespoke bridal gowns are designed to reflect the personality of the bride, each gown is designed in partnership, bringing ideas together, exploring fabrics and drawing on Jennifer’s extensive experience and flair for design.
This process begins with a relaxed consultation where the bride can share the details of the chosen venue, the feel of the wedding that they are planning and any specific details that they would like to incorporate in their dress. Together, you start exploring different materials and colours, selecting from the array of possible laces and embellished materials. These ideas are then sketched out so you can start to visualise your dream dress and how your chosen materials will look within the design. Once the design has been finalised, your dress is then made to measure ensuring the fit and finish is just right. Each bride will see their dress develop over time with multiple fittings and the opportunity to evolve the design as their dress comes to life.
This attention to detail & design has been recognised nationally and internationally with brides traveling from across the UK and abroad to have their gown created by Jennifer and My little Wedding Shop gowns and veils have been featured in Vogue Magazine, Hello! Magazine, Bouquet & Bells Magazine, Love My Dress, Rock N Roll Bride, Unconventional Wedding Festival, West Midlands Wedding Magazine & elsewhere.
“The whole process was an absolute pleasure too. It felt a little bit nerve-wracking to have a dress designed from scratch – especially having found nothing remotely similar to what I wanted elsewhere, to try on beforehand – but you really listened to my rough ideas and built on them to create a beautiful design, with lots of fantastic ideas. When I saw you sketching the dress during the consultation, I thought you were making notes, so to suddenly see what I’d just been trying to articulate, there, on the paper in front of me – it blew me away.” – Rachel
It is very hard to pick just three brides that I have loved working with, but I will do my best!
When Hayley visited My little Wedding Shop looking for her wedding dress, it soon became very clear that this gown was going to be a unique experience to create! Hayley visited the boutique with her sister and when trying on dresses in the shop, fell in love with the silhouette and fabric of one of my collection designs. However, Hayley didn’t want any lace on her dress instead, she opened up a bag and pulled out a painted canvas and stated that she wanted her dress to look like that!
I love collaborating with my brides and ensuring they feel involved in the creation of their wedding dress, this is such a big part of thew wedding planning journey and creating fond memories of this is so wonderful.
So when making Hayley’s dress, I spent a lot of time researching and testing different fabric paints and techniques that would work on her chosen fabric and then we planned in a day when Hayley came into the workshop with me and we hand painted the pieces of her dress together!
I then copper foiled over the painted fabric to go with Hayley’s theme before constructing her gown and the finished result was truly wonderful!
Hayley had her perfect dress and memories of creating it too!
“Thank you so much for making my wedding dress dreams come true. I can’t thank you both enough for creating the most beautiful wedding dress for me. I came to you with an idea and your talents made it a reality, something that I thought wouldn’t be possible, you made possible.
Thank you so much for also making it possible for me to paint my own wedding dress, it was an unforgettable experience and a memory I will cherish always. The whole experience was incredible from start to finish and I will be recommending you to every bride I meet. I can’t thank you enough. Love Hayley.”
2. Hannah
Hannah contacted My little Wedding Shop during the lockdowns of 2020/2021. Hannah had her wedding date planned and wanted to go ahead with designing her wedding dress as she knew we would not have a lot of time to make it! The design process was all done via zoom calls and by sending designs and fabric swatches out in the post which was exciting for us both and kept us busy during the lockdown times!
As soon as I was allowed to re-open the boutique, Hannah was my first bride into the shop to get measured and confirm her dress order. I then had just 5 weeks to create her gown and fit it to Hannah, who lived quite some time away in Yorkshire, so we had to plan in the fittings around Hannah’s very busy schedule.
Hannah’s gown was so wonderful to create, it was actually a bodice with two skirts so Hannah could change her look from day to night, but I created the outfit in such a way that it looked like one dress, so the transformation would be a surprise to everyone at the wedding. Hannah choose a beautiful, 3D lace in a deep rose pink and combined it with ivory silk and pearl embellished tulle. Creating her gown was just wonderful and to see the smile on her face in her wedding day pictures was marvellous. Hannah didn’t believe she could get the gown of her dreams due to the lockdown, but I made sure that her experience was happy and exciting and she looked fantastic on her wedding day!
“Our whole wedding / being together in Covid was very stressful and when I came to thinking about wedding dresses, I had gained a stone at least and generally had lived in scrubs for a year. We had been turned down and berated by several wedding dress shops as to why we had left it so late. I cannot describe how grateful I am for all of the work you did with me and my mum over the weeks leading up to the wedding. I really enjoyed coming to your shop every week for the design sessions and fittings.
Once again, thank you so much! All the best for the future.” – Hannah
3. Rachel
When Rachel visited My little Wedding Shop one of the things that was important to her was the environmental impact of her wedding day. Rachel was getting married in the woods over in Cardiff, where she was from and she knew that she wanted her dress to fit with that theme.
I designed Rachel’s dress to incorporate recycled satin and recycled tulle as well as stunning trailing greenery and yellow flowers. Rachels dress was flowing and soft and we hid the coloured elements behind the chiffon so they would be softer and more of a reveal!
Rachels gown was all about movement, the chiffon layers were perfect for an outdoor wedding as they move beautifully in the breeze. Her bodice had a beautiful, leaf embossed georgette to add extra detail and texture to the bodice and also to set off the floral motifs.
I loved every one of Rachel’s fittings, each fitting was with her sister and her mother who all travelled from Cardiff for the fittings and made a day out of each of their visits, adding to the wonderful experience of having her gown created for her.
I also worked with her little niece and used elements of Rachels dress fabrics to embellish a flower girl dress, so she could look like her Auntie on the day!
Rachel’s wedding was magical and she looked absolutely stunning in her gown.
“Thank you so much for accepting to design and make my wedding dress, you and your talents have surpassed all of our expectations and more! We have loved taking the journey to spend time with you, we will miss it very much. With love, Rachel (one very happy bride!)”

My little Wedding Shop works with brides from across the UK as well as some international brides! As every gown is designed and made specifically for each bride, I have had brides travelling from further afield because they want to have their bridal outfit designed and created here.

I do offer face to face consultations at the boutique in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. I also offer zoom consultations for the initial conversations if brides want to virtually meet me and find out more information, before travelling across to the boutique.
For my bridal wear, a 50% deposit is required at the point of ordering. I then take a 25% payment after the brides 2nd dress fitting and 25% once the dress is completed.
Bridal accessories including veils etc. need to be paid for on ordering.

You know that old saying “new year, new me”? Well, ahead of the fast approaching 2025, we’ve decided to switch some things up around here and add a dash more sparkle into Bouquet and Bells.
This shoot was inspired wholly by the vastness and beauty of the venue as well as the unitarians inspiring ethos: Ullet Road Unitarian Church. We chose a beautiful day for the shoot, meaning the light flooding into the building and outside of the building was beautiful. We had a selection of dresses to change into for different parts of the church, and we utilised the late in different rooms and at different windows, as well as the doors for the iconic confetti shots.
Your wedding is a magical day which will stay with you forever. However, it’s unquestionable that with a tag like that, there’s also going to be an element of pressure you need to manage. 84% of brides report feeling some sort of stress about their big day. And while a lot of this comes hand-in-hand with planning a large event, it’s unquestionable that standing in front of anyone as the “star of the show” is going to get the nerves jangling.
