About Jewellery by Starkiss

Wedding Accessories and Jewellery. Sheffield, Yorkshire

£500 - £1000

I’m Issy, a Sheffield based metalworker meticulously hand- crafting wedding accessories and jewellery to make you feel your absolute best and most beautiful! Creating something that you can attach a memory to and that fills you with confidence is very important to me, so my pieces are designed for you to put on, feel fabulous, and go enjoy yourself.

Weddings are days spent celebrating all of the best things in life and are so full of love and happiness, all I want to do is add to that experience for you by making you something to keep and treasure from such a special day in your lives – whether it’s a show-stopping crown, a stunning comb or an elegant set of earrings.

I’ve been a full-time Goldsmith since 2015 but started Jewellery by Starkiss in 2017 while fundraising for The British Heart Foundation in preparation for running the London Marathon. Since then my business has continued to develop and thankfully now involves a lot less running!

There are always more designs in the pipeline and you deserve to have the perfect finishing touches to your wedding outfits, so if you see something from me that you adore but would prefer a couple of tweaks I’m always happy to discuss what I can do to make it perfect for you.

Previous Weddings

Having only recently launched my wedding collections I’ve not been involved in any weddings just yet, I do however have a few coming up!

For a wonderful bride getting married in June in Gloucestershire I’m working on a bespoke flower hair vine. We’ve had a chat about what would most compliment her dress and hairstyle to get exactly the right look. By using steel instead of copper and adding pearls to compliment her dress I’ll be making something totally unique for her and I can’t wait!

Throughout the last year, Issy has been hand-crafting exquisite and unique jewellery pieces and, in doing so, adding her own chapter to the proud history of Sheffield artisan metalwork. Throughout a time that has been so difficult for so many, she has been gently determined to increase the amount of loveliness in the world and prove that such details are not just beautiful, but useful too. And as of today, loveliness can come in the form of copper and cloisonné and is available from her website. As soon as I saw the graceful copper fleurons that Issy was making I was certain I wanted to get to know this wonderful local artist and to work with her in some way.

FAQs

I started Jewellery by Starkiss in 2017, but for the first year all profits went to The British Heart Foundation. Then in 2018 I added new products and became a business!

All of my pieces are made in Sheffield and are delivered across the UK. I intend to expand to international delivery soon.

My work can be purchased directly from my website, or if you are looking for something more bespoke then you can email a request and we can discuss what’s possible via email, phone or video call. For any bespoke items (e.g hair vines, specific colour ways or different metals) I will send you a quote and if you’re happy to go for it then I will request a 50% deposit.

All of my products which are made in precious metal comply with British Hallmarking laws, meaning that any item that contains more than a certain weight of silver or gold will feature a Jewellery by Starkiss Assay Mark confirming the quality of the metal.

Wherever precious metal wire is used, the metal is recycled. I have also tried to make my packaging as eco-friendly as possible, using recycled and recyclable card that is FSC certified.

An Alternative Church Wedding with Unique Outfits

This shoot was inspired wholly by the vastness and beauty of the venue as well as the unitarians inspiring ethos: Ullet Road Unitarian Church. We chose a beautiful day for the shoot, meaning the light flooding into the building and outside of the building was beautiful. We had a selection of dresses to change into for different parts of the church, and we utilised the late in different rooms and at different windows, as well as the doors for the iconic confetti shots.
